What We Offer:

• Medic Insight Day

Aimed at S4 high-school students the day aims to give students an initial insight into life as both a medical student and a doctor while also giving you the foundation from which you can start your medical career. We do so by running a variety of talks and workshops.

• Medic Insight Week

Aimed at S5 high-school students the week aims to give students a further insight into their potential future career. We will organise clinical attachments (pandemic permitting), put on workshops and run talks all carefully considered by our team in order to give you the greatest chance of succeeding in your application to study medicine.

Aims of Medic Insight Edinburgh:

1. To provide a fair and accessible route of access to medical work experience for all school students.
2. To illustrate the numerous working practices and specialties open to medical graduates, beyond the limited scope of what is often considered to be a typical ‘white coat’ doctor.
3. To give students an objective view of medicine, in an unbiased environment, to foster a generation of medics truly aware of their potential future career.
